School Clothing Support
Project

In 2024, we began our School Clothing Support Project after learning from schools that many families were struggling to provide essential clothing for their children. While Haut Gap Middle School continues to require uniforms, most schools simply need help ensuring students have clean, well-fitting clothes for everyday wear. Younger students often need a change of clothing during the school day, and schools rarely have the budget to fully stock an emergency supply.

Other community organizations also support school clothing closets, and we are proud to complement their efforts. KWF helps bridge the gap when schools identify needs that haven’t already been met—whether that means providing extra clothing, uniforms, or restocking emergency supplies.

Although the Backpack Buddy Program remains at the heart of what we do, we know that food isn’t a child’s only need. By ensuring students have access to proper clothing, we help them feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
